This stage will not be the easiest along the way, not the prettiest, but it is essential to get to another big city that you will surely love as much as Burgos or Pamplona. The tour consists of endless straight paths and barren fields. A boring and monotonous landscape that runs parallel to the road. However, at kilometer 6 you will find one of the greatest works of hydraulic engineering in the history of Spain, the Fromistra locks system, where also you can roam around with a guide who will explain to you how these were used to raise or lower the water level allowing access for boats.
Upon our arrival in Carrion de los Condes we will receive a small prize, knowing that we will have already covered half way since we left. This always gives encouragement to continue, doesn’t it?
